Shakespearean Michael is the fourteenth episode in The Rosen Family Chronicles, the final episode of Season 1, and the only episode to include subtitles.
The episode was conceived as a project for 256Pi's English class; he was supposed to act out one of three chosen scenes from one of Shakespeare's plays, but he opted not to film himself by making a Michael Rosen YTP instead. 256Pi's teacher found the idea very creative and awarded him with an A+. Plot[]
Michael, Brian, and Older Rosen play as the three witches in the opening scene of Macbeth. Lightning strikes, and Michael walks in front of a forest at night backdrop. Michael is wearing a witch's hat, and begins reciting his lines: "When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain?" Brian appears without a witch's hat and recites a line from the second witch, "When the hurly-burly's done, when the battle's lost and won." Michael wonders why Brian isn't wearing his hat. Brian says he refuses to wear it, as it looks stupid.
The scene restarts, and Michael and Brian recite their lines (although Brian still refuses to wear the witch's hat). Older Rosen is then seen eating chocolate cake, not realizing that they had begun at all. The scene restarts again, and this time Older Rosen begins his line in the role of the third witch, "That will be ere the set of sun". However, he intentionally flubs the line by saying "That will be ere the set of chocolate cake", which Michael expresses annoyance towards and restarts the scene one last time.
After Older Rosen correctly recites his line, Michael recites "Where the place?" and Older Rosen responds with "I dunno!" Michael, too fed up to restart the scene, recites his line again, and Brian answers with the correct line "Upon the heath". After Michael recites "There to meet with Macbeth", the trio all recite the final line of the scene one word at a time, "Fair is foul and foul is fair, hover through the fog and the filthy air." Lightning strikes once more, concluding the scene.
Taking off his witches hat, Michael scolds Brian and Older Rosen for being horrible witches. Brian retorts that witches are supposed to be girls, and Michael angrily says he doesn't want to put up with 256Pi involving him in his school projects (or at the very least if he does, he should put them in A Midsummer Night's Dream or something.)
